WHO WE ARE

Beacon Medical Services Group is a leading provider of specialist healthcare and diagnostic services to NHS patients. We are commissioned by the NHS, and also registered and fully compliant with the Care Quality Commission, to provide community healthcare services across Greater Manchester and Greater Preston.

All our services are Consultant-led and delivered by specialists at clinics closer to patients’ homes, providing the highest level of patient satisfaction. We provide a wide range of high quality services, using the latest state-of-the-art equipment.

OUR BACKGROUND

Beacon Medical Services Group is a limited company which evolved from Beacon Minor Surgery. The Minor Surgery service started as a community partnership between three GPs in 2006, who believed they could make a difference in patient care within the community. Beacon Minor Surgery was commissioned by a forward-thinking, practice-based commissioning group. Minor Surgery services were initially provided by three GP surgery sites located in Manchester. The model of care, used since Beacon’s inception, proved to be very successful in delivering the concept of providing care closer to home.

This successful outcome led to the implementation of the proven model of care in other areas of diagnosis and treatment. Subsequently, Beacon Medical Services Group was founded in 2010. Today, our portfolio of Acute Elective Services includes Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) and Non-Obstetric Ultrasound services. We still specialize in Minor Surgery; however, we have now added Gastroscopy, Audiology and MRI scans to our service offering.

We take great pride in providing high calibre services where we can make a positive difference to patient experience.
